McVitie’s began in 1830 when a Scottish apprentice baker named Robert McVitie began baking wholesome, wheaty biscuits. The recipe for the original McVitie’s Digestive from 1892 is the same one in use today. 160 years later, McVitie’s is now loved worldwide.
