The Hemp Oz story began when founder John Leith was diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes and resolved to give up sugary drinks. Around the same time, Hemp was legalised again (in November 2017) after 83 years of prohibition.
With advice from health professionals, John crafted his own Kombucha with hemp oil infusion, blending the gut-health benefits of Kombucha with superfood hemp oil. Not only did John’s homebrew have a delicious crisp flavour, but after drinking it every day, his health improved dramatically and all the symptoms of his Type 2 Diabetes disappeared. John was inspired to create a brand and bring his delicious health elixir to all Australians.
