The quality of Zammit’s hams is evident in their multiple prestigious awards. Since the company first began entering the hams in the Sydney Royal Easter Show in 1990, it has taken home one or more first placings in various categories each and every year. Zammit’s have also been awarded best national artisan bacon award for it’s full rasher bacon.
THE HISTORY Francis Zammit, a butcher by trade, migrated from Malta to Australia in 1954. With the help of his sons, he began producing Maltese sausages for the local community and then began manufacturing hams, continuing to expand with state of the art innovation and efficiency while still remaining true to traditional artisanal practises.
