THE LAUGHING COW
The Laughing Cow cheese is made in the beautiful Jura region in the south east of France, where it has been produced since the 1920’s and is named “La Vache Qui Rit”. It was the first cheese spread to be individually served in foil sealed portions! This helps it to stay fresher for longer. The easy-open foil wrapping technology remains top secret to this day.
This mild, smooth and creamy cheese is full of dairy goodness without any added preservatives, flavours or colours. A variety of cheeses (eg Cheddar, Gouda, Edam, Emmental, Comt ) are melted and blended in a way similar to a cheese fondue to achieve the mellow creaminess. It’s at its best chilled, but also has a long shelf life and keeps without refrigeration, so it’s perfect to keep on hand in the fridge or pantry. Great in a lunchboxes, it’s also a delicious snack anytime.
